China's alumina production down by 2.2% YoY in Jul

In July 2023, China produced 6.93 million tonnes of alumina, down by 2.2% YoY, 3.48 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 1.5% YoY, 5.28 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 2.2% YoY, and 1.22 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 7.1% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to July, the country's alumina production totaled 47.47 million tonnes, up by 0.9% from the prior year period; primary aluminum production reached 23.62 million tonnes, up by 2.8% YoY; aluminum products output totaled 35.49 million tonnes, up by 4.0% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 17.3% YoY to 8.07 million tonnes.
