Chalco finds 21Mt of domestic bauxite resources in H1

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (Chalco) reported production of 8.23 million tonnes of metallurgical grade alumina and 3.06 million tonnes of primary aluminum in the first half of 2023, down by 9.05% and 5.57% respectively from the year-ago period, according to the company's semi-annual report.
During the period, Chalco also produced 1.88 million tonnes of non-metallurgical grade alumina, up by 5.13% YoY, 6.22 million tonnes of coal, up by 11.67%, and 1.37 million tonnes of carbon products.
Chalco increased domestic bauxite resources by 21 million tonnes in the first half of the year.
