Shenmu Shentou Magnesium to build magnesium alloy and die casting project

The Shenmu Branch of Yulin Municipal Ecology and Environment Bureau plans to give approval to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of magnesium metal deep-processing project developed by Shenmu Shentou Magnesium Industry Co., Ltd. and at the same time seek public opinion.
The company plans to build the project with a total production capacity of 100,000tpa of magnesium alloy and die casting products at Shenmu Jinjie Industrial Park in Yulin, Shaanxi. The project will be developed in two phases, including phase one with a 30,000tpa magnesium alloy ingot production line and a 20,000tpa die-casting production line and associated facilities. The second phase will add capacity of 20,000tpa of magnesium alloy plate, 20,000tpa of magnesium alloy profiles and 10,000tpa of military products. The total investment for the project is RMB950 million (USD130 million), including RMB5.32 million (USD728,952) for environmental protection.
