Tieshan port (Linhai) Industrial Zone of Beihai city signed three projects with a total investment of RMB17.2 billion (USD2.35 billion) at the 20th China-ASEAN Expo.
Beihai green aluminum (phase one) and 200,000-tonne level bulk cargo terminal project is the biggest project signed in Tieshan port (Linhai) Industrial Zone this time with an investment of RMB15.2 billion (USD2.08 billion). The project will add production capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum (2Mtpa) of alumina, 200,000tpa of high-quality secondary aluminum, 600,000tpa of aluminum deep processing products, and build a 200,000-tonne level bulk cargo terminal and a logistics storage facility. When fully operational, the project would generate annual production value of at least RMB21 billion (USD2.87 billion) and tax revenue of no lower than RMB1.3 billion (USD178 million) and is expected to create more than 2,000 jobs.
