Hunan Dazhonghe to build 20ktpa lithium carbonate project

Hunan Dazhonghe Mining Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Dazhong Mining, has been given approval to invest RMB1.3 billion (USD179 million) to build the phase one lithium carbonate project with annual production capacity of 20,000t. Construction of the phase one project would take nine months after the building permit is granted.
In April 2023, the company acquired 80% of equity interest in Chenzhou Chengtai Mining Investment Co., Ltd. and has gained access to lithium mineral resources at Jijiaoshan mining area in Linwu.
