China's Q1-Q3 alumina production up by 0.8% YoY

In September 2023, China produced 7.07 million tonnes of alumina, up by 1.6% YoY, 3.58 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 5.3% YoY, 1.26 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 11.3% YoY, and 5.55 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 5.7% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first three quarters of 2023, the country's alumina production was 61.71 million tonnes, up by 0.8% from the prior year period; primary aluminum production reached 30.81 million tonnes, up by 3.3% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 16.0% YoY to 10.47 million tonnes; aluminum products output increased by 5.2% YoY to 46.54 million tonnes.
