China's alumina production up by 1.3% YoY in Oct

In October 2023, China produced about 7.05 million tonnes of alumina, up by 1.3% YoY, 3.62 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 6.0% YoY, 1.26 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 12.2% YoY, and 5.50 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 8.3% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first ten months, the country's alumina production reached 68.70 million tonnes, up by 0.9% from the prior year period; primary aluminum production totaled 34.46 million tonnes, up by 3.7% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 15.9% YoY to 11.84 million tonnes; aluminum products output increased by 5.7% YoY to 52.05 million tonnes.
