First batch of secondary aluminum ingot shipped from Kuantan to Qinzhou

On November 18, the first batch of 70 tonnes of secondary aluminum ingot shipped from Malaysia's Kuantan Port arrived at Qinzhou Port in Guangxi, China, since the "Kuantan Port-Beibu Gulf Port-Sichuan and Chongqing" multimodal transport route was officially opened, according to Beibu Gulf Port Group.
The batch of aluminum ingot was provided by a Malaysia-based joint venture between Guangxi China Malaysia Industrial Park China Products Association Investment Co., Ltd . and Guangxi Huihang New Materials Co . , Ltd . The joint venture plans to build a 150,000tpa secondary aluminum processing plant at Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park . When fully operational, the project would ship 200 standard containers per week of secondary aluminum through the multimodal transport route to Guangxi for downstream processing.
