The latest round of prospecting operations launched by China's Jiangxi province has achieved significant milestones, according to the local nature resource department.
By the end of November, Jiangxi has overfulfilled the targets for mineral exploration of ion-adsorbed rare earth, lithium and manganese during the 2021-2025 period, and has been more than halfway through the prospecting for tungsten, gold and fluorspar.
From 2021 to H1 2023, Jiangxi newly found about 8.58 million tonnes of lithium oxide reserve, 10 . 13 million tonnes of manganese reserves, 7 . 29 tonnes of gold reserves and 2 . 71 million tonnes of fluorspar reserves, laying the foundation for the development of key industries such as nonferrous metals, new energy and petrochemicals.
