Global refined copper market saw a supply deficit of 7,900 tonnes in October 2023 with production and consumption reaching 2,345,300 tonnes and 2,353,100 tonnes respectively, and the global production and consumption of the red metal amounted to 22.73 million tonnes and 22.65 million tonnes respectively in the first ten months of this year, with a supply surplus of 79,400 tonnes, according to the latest data from the World Bureau of Metal Statistics (WBMS).
Global mined copper production reached 1.94 million tonnes in October and 18.48 million tonnes in the first ten months.
