BEIJING (Asian Metal) 5 March 24 - Due to tight supply of antimony ingot 99.65%min, most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min stand firm at RMB90,000-91,000/t(USD12,502-12,641/t) EXW D/P, stable from late las this week. Considering that most consumers have low intentions to purchase, insiders predict that the mainstream price of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep stable in the coming days.
A producer in Hunan disclosed that they don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min now and even for firm bids, they have no intentions to sell at any lower prices at RMB91,000/t (USD12,641/t) EXW D/P. They didn't sell this week and last sold about 30t at RMB91,000/t (USD12,641/t) one week ago. The producer added, "We stay optimistic about the market as we have limited stocks of products now. Supply of raw materials keep tight and few suppliers could accept to sell at any lower prices". Considering that most of suppliers have intentions to keep their prices firm, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep stable in the coming days.
With a production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced around 3,000t in 2023. They have no output this month, unchanged MoM. They hold no stock now, unchanged MoM.
Another producer in Hunan disclosed, "We didn't sell any antimony ingot 99.85%min this week as we don't want to sell at prices below RMB91,000/t (USD12,641/t) EXW D/P. While we last sold about 30t at RMB91,000/t (USD12,641/t) last week". The producer added they haven't resumed the production of antimony ingot after holiday, due to the limited supply of raw materials, they could postpone their resumption until April of May.
