Century Metal Recycling increases secondary aluminum alloys production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Mar 24 - Century Metal Recycling Ltd., the biggest secondary aluminum alloy ingots producer in India, plans to produce around 20,000t in March and 23,000t in April, up from around 18,000t last month, a source from the company reported to Asian Metal.
"We are going to produce around 20,000t this month, up from around 18,000t last month," said the source, adding that they target around 23,000t next month as the demand in India improves. They focus on sales in the Indian domestic market now, as mainstream export prices to China and Japan are not benefitable.
With the production capacity of 300,000tpy and 60 melting furnaces, they produced around 200,000t last year and over 40,000t so far this year with present stocks around 10,000t.
Present mainstream prices secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 in India keep at USD2,450-2,470/t delivered, up by USD50/t from late last month supported by the increased aluminum scrap prices. Due to the Red Sea transportation issue, the aluminum scraps supply becomes tight in India.
