Dongguan Yihui increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 6 Mar 24 - A major tin ingot 99.95%min producer in Guangdong, Dongguan Yihui Industrial Co., Ltd., would expand the production from 30t in February to about 60t in March.
"We would probably produce about 60t in February, up by 30t from last month. We suspended production since early last month and resumed production on February 26th," the source from the company reported. They added that they would increase the production next month.
They produced about 1,030t of tin ingot in 2023 and nearly 80t so far this year, holding no inventory at present. The company, having an annual production capacity of 5,000t for tin ingot, purchases tin scrap to produce tin ingot 99.95%min.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at RMB217,000-219,000/t (USD30,146-30,424/t) EXW 100% down in South China, unchanged from yesterday. Most suppliers hold bearish attitudes to the market depressed by soft demand from downstream clients. Therefore, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Chinese tin ingot would edge down in the week to come.
