Baotai Group to build 600ktpa aluminum ingot and bar project

Jiangxi Baotai Non-ferrous Metal Group Co., Ltd. plans to build a 600,000tpa aluminum alloy new materials expansion project with a total investment of RMB2 billion (USD278 million), according to an environmental impact assessment (EIA) which has been reviewed by the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangxi.
As an upgrade and expansion project, it will use aluminum scrap and pure aluminum ingot as the raw materials to produce secondary aluminum, including 300,000tpa of aluminum ingot and 300,000tpa of aluminum bar. The project will also produce 30,000tpa of hard clay clinker out of aluminum ash and slag.
The company will build the project at its existing plant and warehouse, with a planned area of around 44,192 square meters.
