Vietnam Ha Giang reduces tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 22 Mar 24 - One of tin ingot 99.95%min producers in Vietnam, Ha Giang Mineral & Mechanics Jsc Co., Ltd., would cut the production of tin ingot to around 8t in March.
"Due to few orders, we would decrease the production to about 8t this month, down by 2t from last month," the source from the company revealed. They added that would keep the same output next month.
Based on an annual production capacity of 500t for tin ingot, the company purchases tin concentrate 60%min from their own mine to produce tin ingot 99.95%min and sells to local traders and tin solder plants. They produced about 100t of tin ingot in 2023 and nearly 25t so far this year, holding an inventory of 5t now.
The current mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at USD27,800-27,900/t EXW D/P in Vietnam, up by USD400/t from yesterday. As most downstream clients purchased from hand to mouth, insiders predicted that the mainstream prices of Vietnamese tin ingot would go down in the following days.
