Chinese antimony ingot prices increase slightly

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Mar 24 - Due to tight supply of raw materials, most suppliers refused to make sales since last week. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min increase slightly to RMB90,000-91,000/t (USD12,477-12,615/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB500/t from early this week. Considering that most suppliers hold strong intentions to keep their prices firm with limites stocks, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
A producer in Hunan indicated, "We received many inquiries from downstream clients who want to purchase some antimony ingot 99.85%min at around RMB90,000/t (USD12,477/t) EXW D/P this week. While we have no intentions to sell as the earliest deliver date we could arrange is until mid of March". The producer added that they have no intentions to sell any materials at prices lower than RMB90,000/t (USD12,477/t) now and last sold about 30t at RMB89,500/t (USD12,407/t) last time. Due to limited supply, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
On basis of an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced about 3,400t in 2023. There is no output this month, the same with last month. They hold no stock at the moment, the same with last month.
Another producer in Hunan disclosed, "We don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min now as we have no stocks in hand now. While even for firm bids ,we have no plan to sell at prices lower than RMB90,000/t (USD12,477/t) EXW D/P now and we last sold about 30t at RMB89,500/t (USD12,407/t) one week ago". The producer added that they prefer to keep their prices stable as there is no more materials to sell. They received many inquiries from their clients who want to refill their stocks, they all refused.
