BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Mar 24 - Xincheng Yongchuang Alloy Co
"We only kept production for four days in February to take the Spring Festival holiday, so our secondary aluminum alloy ingot output was only 500t or so during the month. We expect that our output would rise to about 4,000t in March as we have resumed normal production," a source from the company said, adding that they operate two 50-ton smelting furnaces at the moment.
The company owns one 80-ton furnace, five 50-ton furnaces and two 30-ton furnaces with an annual production capacity of 200,000t in total. It had an output of around 35,500t in 2023, holding no aluminum alloy ingot stocks now.
On Thursday, mainstream prices for Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 hovered at 19,400-19,600/t (USD2,685-2,713/t) delivered D/P, stable from Wednesday. Considering soft demand in the current market, insiders predict that mainstream prices of Chinese aluminum alloy ingot ADC12 would go down in the coming week.
