BEIJING (Asian Metal) 11 Apr 24 - Most suppliers of antimony ingot 99.85%min hold strong intentions to raise their prices since early this week. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min stand at RMB92,000-93,000/t (USD12,721-12,859/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB1,000/t (USD138/t) from early this week. Considering that supply keep tight and most suppliers prefer to keep their prices firm, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would be firm in the coming week.
A producer in Hunan indicated that they offered about RMB94,000/t (USD12,526/t) EXW D/P for antimony ingot 99.85%min and they didn't sell any materials at RMB94,000/t (USD12,526/t) this week and last sold about 32t at RMB93,000/t (USD12,860/t) early this week. The producer added, "Inquiries increase this week when most clients prefer to purchase at RMBRMB92,000/t(USD12,721/t). We refused to sell as supply keep tight". As supply keep limited as most suppliers refuse to sell with bullish attitudes, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the forthcoming week.
On basis of an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced about 2,000t in 2023. The output in April would reach around 100t, unchanged from last month. They hold about 100t of stocks at the moment, the same with last month.
Another trader in Hunan disclosed, "We don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min now and we don't sell any materials this week. Even for firm orders, we have no intention to sell at prices below RMB93,000/t (USD12,860/t) EXW D/P now as prices show increasing trend now". The trader added that they last sold about 30t of antimony ingot 99.85%min at RMB91,000/t (USD12,583/t) one week ago. The trader add that supply of raw materials keep tight and most suppliers of antimony concentrate 50%min keep their prices firm. Supported by firm prices of antimony concentrate and tight supply, the trader predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep stable in the coming week.
With a regular monthly export volume of 100t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, they expect to sell about 60t in April, stable from last month. They sold nearly 1,000t in 2023 and currently hold no inventory, on par with one month earlier.
