BEIJING (Asian Metal) 12 Apr 24 - BRM Canada, a small secondary aluminum alloys producer in Canada, restarted production early last month and produced around 80t in March, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We resumed production six weeks ago and produced around 80t last month," says the source, adding that the production volume in April might remain the same. They once suspended production in late 2022 for the sluggish market.
With one production line and the production capacity of 7,000tpy, they remained out of production in 2023 and hold no stock now. They export secondary aluminum alloy ingots to Japan and South Korea.
Present mainstream prices for secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 keep at USD2,400-2,450/t CIF Japan, up by USD50/t from early this month. The demand remains flat in the Asian market, while the aluminum scraps price moves up.
