BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Apr 24 - As supply of antimony ingot and concentrate keep tight, most suppliers held bullish attitudes now. Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would increase to RMB94,000-95,000/t (USD12,986-13,124/t) EXW D/P, up by RMB1,000/t (USD138/t) from late last week. Considering that the supply keep tight, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
A producer in Hunan indicated, "We don't offer for antimony ingot 99.85%min now as we have no stocks now. While we receive so many inquiries from consumers who want to purchase now, we have no intentions to sell at prices below RMB94,000/t (USD12,986/t) now". The producer added that they last sold about 64t of antimony ingot 99.85%min at RMB91,500/t (USD12,641/t) early this month. Supply keep tight as the latest shipment we could arrange is until end of this month. Supported by tight supply, the producer predicts that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep firm in the coming week.
On basis of an annual production capacity of 5,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the producer produced about 3,400t in 2023. They expect to produce about 300t this month, no output last month. They hold no stock at the moment, the same with last month.
Another producer in Hunan disclosed, "We offer about RMB95,000/t (USD13,124/t) EXW D/P for antimony ingot 99.85%min and we last sold about 30t at RMB91,000/t (USD12,572/t) last month. Supply keep tight now as we failed to purchase any materials at prices below RMB80,000/t (USD11,052/t) recently". The producer added that supply keep tight and most suppliers refused to offer for any materials now as prices keep increasing this week. Considering that supply of raw materials keep tight, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep stable in the forthcoming week.
