Tianyuan Chemical finishes alumina equipment maintenance

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 16 Apr 24 - Xiaoyi Tianyuan Chemical Co., a small alumina producer in Shanxi of China, finished equipment maintenance on one alumina production line on April 12 and might produce 60,000t of alumina in April, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We finished equipment maintenance on April 12 and might produce 60,000t this month," says the source, who produced around 70,000t last month and holds no stock now. They suspended one production line in early April for equipment maintenance.
Based on two production lines and the total production capacity of 840,000tpy, they produced around 200,000t during the first three months of this year and around 750,000t last year.
Present mainstream prices for alumina 98.5%min in north China stand at RMB3,240-3,260/t (USD448-450/t) EXW, stable from late last week. Alumina spot sales remain thin now.
