BEIJING (Asian Metal) 25 Apr 24 - Harshprit Impex LLP, a small secondary aluminum alloys producer in India, plans to produce around 500t in April, down from around 700t in March, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We might produce around 500t this month, down from around 700t last month," says the source, adding that they cut production mainly because of the short aluminum scraps supply. Focusing on sales in the Indian domestic market, they hold no stock now.
With two melting furnaces and the production capacity of 15,000tpy, they produced around 2,000t in the Q1 this year and around 8,000t in total last year.
Current mainstream prices for secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 in India keep at USD2,600-2,650/t delivered, up by USD50/t from early this week, supported by the firm demand and increased aluminum scraps price.
