Poland Polkraz decreases tin alloy production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Apr 24 - Poland Polkraz Co., Ltd., a major tin alloy producer in Europe, would decrease the production of tin ingot to about 150t in April.
"Dragged by dim market, we would reduce the output to about 150t in April, down by 50t from last month," the source from the company mentioned. They disclosed that they would keep the same production next month.
The producer, based on an annual production capacity of 2,500t, mainly purchase tin ingot 99.85%min from local traders to produce lead-tin alloy etc. They produced about 2,000t in 2023 and around 600t so far this year, holding no inventory now.
Currently, the prevailing prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at USD32,300-32,400/t EXW D/P in Europe, up by USD400/t from yesterday. Although the downstream clients purchased from hand to mouth, insiders estimated that the mainstream prices of European tin ingot would go up in the upcoming days due to tight supply.
