Frisco Metales cuts secondary aluminum alloys production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 26 Apr 24 - Frisco Metales SA DE CV., a medium-sized secondary aluminum alloys producer in Mexico, would produce around 700t in April, down from around 1,000t in March, a source from the company reports to Asian Metal.
"We would produce around 700t this month, down from around 1,000t last month due to the weakened demand," says the source, adding that they focus on production of 7 series of aluminum alloys this month and hold no stock now.
With four melting furnaces and the total production capacity of 40,000tpy, they produced close to 4,000t so far this year and around 10,000t in total last year.
Present mainstream prices for secondary aluminum alloy ingots ADC12 stand at USD2,480-2,580/t CIF China, up by USD40/t from one week ago supported by the increased aluminum scraps price. Due to the tight supply of aluminum scraps, producers remain confident in the price.
