Guizhou Dongfeng resume antimony ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 29 Apr 23 - Guizhou Dongfeng Antimony Industry Co., Ltd., a major antimony ingot producer in Guizhou, resumed antimony ingot production from last week and expects that the output in May would reach nearly 400t, a source from the company revealed to Asian Metal.
The source said, "We just resumed the production of antimony ingot 99.85%min last week and it's our first time to resume the production after the Spring Festival holiday. We expect to produce about 400t in May". The sources added that supply keep tight as most factories hold limited stocks and supply of raw materials keep tight.
With an annual production capacity of 8,000t of antimony ingot 99.85%min, the company have no output in April and expect to produce about 400t of the material in May. They produced about 4,000t in 2023, expecting to have no output this month. It holds no spot stocks at the moment, unchanged MoM.
Currently, the mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min stand at RMB102,000-103,000/t (USD11,549-11,689/t) EXW D/P currently, slightly up by about RMB1,000/t (USD70.42/t) from late last week. Given tight supply for raw material and limited antimony ingot stocks in the spot market, suppliers still have strong intention to keep their antimony ingot prices firm, but deals are limited in the market against the fast increasing trend. Insiders predict that mainstream prices of Chinese antimony ingot 99.85%min would keep increasing in the coming week.
