Bolivia Operaciones Metalurgicas increases tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 30 Apr 24 - One of major tin ingot 99.97%min producers in Bolivia, Operaciones Metalúrgicas S.A. OMSA, increased the production of tin ingot to around 170t in April.
"Stimulated by active purchases, we planned to produce about 170t of tin ingot this month, up by about 20t from last month," the source from the company reported, adding that they would probably produce about 170t next month.
The producer, with an annual production capacity of 5,000t for tin ingot, purchases tin concentrate 65%min from local mine to produce tin ingot 99.95-99.97%min. They produced about 2,000t tin ingot in 2023 and early 570t so far this year, holding no inventory now. The company used to export copper-tin alloys to China.
The prevailing mainstream prices of tin ingot 99.95%min stand at USD32,600-32,700/t EXW D/P in Bolivia, up by USD200/t from last Friday. Although the downstream clients purchased actively, the supply would increase further due to increased production. Thus, insiders predict that the mainstream prices of tin ingot in Bolivia would keep stable in the following days.
