TD Mineral & Trading cuts tin ingot production

BEIJING (Asian Metal) 1 May 24 - One of major tin ingot 99.90%min producers in Vietnam, TD Mineral & Trading Co., Ltd., reduced the output to about 20t in April.
"Due to few orders from our Japanese clients, we decreased the production of tin ingot to nearly 20t this month, halved from last month," the source from the company revealed. They would probably produce about 20t next month.
The producer, based on an annual production capacity of 800t for tin ingot, produced about 500t in 2023 and around 120t so far this year, holding no inventory now. They purchase tin concentrate 40%min from Laos to produce tin ingot 99.90%min and export to Japan.
On Tuesday, the mainstream prices of Vietnamese tin ingot 99.90%min stand at USD36,700-36,900/t FOB Vietnam, up by about USD270/t from yesterday. Due to shortage of raw materials, insiders predict that the mainstream export prices of Vietnamese tin ingot would go up in the following days.
