The environmental impact assessment (EIA) for the phase one of ternary materials hydrometallurgy recycling project developed by Zhongchen New Energy Co
The company plans to build the project at Jingang Industrial Park in Luoyuan, Fujian and introduce facilities such as mixer, leaching tank, filter press and potline for hydrometallurgy of ternary materials powder. The phase one of the project, when completed, will be able to produce a total of 22,383 . 72t of products per annum, including 1,810.62t/a of nickel cathode, 9,710.0t/a of high-purity nickel sulfate solution, 400t/a of cobalt metal, 3,453t/a of high-purity cobaltous sulfate solution, 4,577t/a of crude manganese carbonate, 2,369.10t/a of lithium carbonate, and 64t/a of copper sponge.
The first phase, with a planned investment of RMB150 million (USD20.74 million), is scheduled to become operational in December 2024, and the second phase is expected to come on stream in September 2025 when the total production capacity would reach 100,000tpa.
