China's Jan-Apr alumina output up by 1.9% YoY

In April 2024, China produced about 6.86 million tonnes of alumina, down by 0.6% YoY, 3.58 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 7.2% YoY, 1.40 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 11.5% YoY, and 5.84 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 8.2% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
During the January-April period, the country's alumina output totaled 27.01 million tonnes, up by 1.9% YoY; primary aluminum production reached 14.24 million tonnes, up by 7.1% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 17.5% YoY to 5.15 million tonnes; aluminum products output increased by 11.6% YoY to 21.42 million tonnes.
