China's H1 alumina output up by 1.8% YoY

In June 2024, China produced about 7.19 million tonnes of alumina, up by 1.4% YoY, 3.67 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 6.2% YoY, 1.42 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 8.1% YoY, and 5.93 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 6.4% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
In the first half of this year, the country's alumina output totaled 41.33 million tonnes, up by 1.8% YoY; primary aluminum production reached 21.55 million tonnes, up by 6.9% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 11.4% YoY to 8.01 million tonnes; aluminum products output increased by 9.5% YoY to 33.26 million tonnes.
