Hunan Shunke begins manganese flake production

Hunan Shunke New Materials Co., Ltd. commenced production of manganese flake on July 18, with two manganese smelting production lines in full operation so far and three more expected by the end of this year.
With a total investment of over RMB30 million (USD4.12 million), the manganese company is jointly set up by Huayuan county and Hunan Dongfang Mining Co., Ltd. Based on current capacity, it is able to produce 2,200t of manganese flake a month, most of which are sold to major steel mills in Zhejiang and Guangdong, with a monthly sales revenue of nearly RMB30 million (USD4.12 million).
Given the current market conditions, the company plans to produce 25,000t of manganese flake this year with sales revenue expected to reach RMB320 million (USD44 million), along with tax revenue of nearly RMB12 million (USD1.65 million), and it would help create more than 500 local jobs.
The company said it will step up efforts for the integration of manganese mining and smelting as well as the development of downstream products such as manganese tetroxide, to advance the green transition for manganese mines and the high-quality development of manganese industry in Huayuan.
