Gansu Xinyutong begins production at 60ktpa silicon metal project

On August 12, Gansu Xinyutong New High-Tech Materials Co., Ltd. started production at its 60,000tpa silicon metal project in Tianzhu, Gansu.
With a total investment of nearly RMB1 billion (USD141 million), the project, covering an area of more than 210Mu (14 hectares), broke ground in March 2023 and the construction mainly includes four 33000KVA rotary submerged arc furnaces and associated cogeneration system. When fully operational, it is expected to achieve a total annual production value of RMB1.2 billion (USD168 million) and tax revenue of around RMB100 million (USD14 million).
Founded in October 2022, Gansu Xinyutong is mainly engaged in the production, processing and sales of industrial silicon products.
