China will impose restrictions on exports of antimony in a bid to protect national interests and security, effective from September 15, 2024, according to a joint announcement from the Minister of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs.
Under the new restrictions, export of antimony materials, including antimony ore and concentrate, antimony metal, antimony trioxide, trimethylantimony, triethylantimony, other organoantimony compounds, antimony hydrides, indium antimonide, and gold-antimony smelting and separation technologies, will require dual-use export licenses approved by the Ministry of Commerce.
