China's Jan-Jul alumina output up 2.2% YoY

In July 2024, China produced about 7.21 million tonnes of alumina, up by 3.9% YoY, 3.68 million tonnes of primary aluminum, up by 6.0% YoY, 1.38 million tonnes of aluminum alloy, up by 6.6% YoY, and 5.57 million tonnes of aluminum products, up by 4.8% YoY, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
From January to July, China's alumina output totaled 48.53 million tonnes, up by 2.2% YoY; primary aluminum production reached 25.19 million tonnes, up by 6.7% YoY; aluminum alloy output increased by 8.7% YoY to 9.22 million tonnes; aluminum products output increased by 9.6% YoY to 38.65 million tonnes.
