Yulin's Jan-Jul magnesium metal production up 24% YoY

China's Yulin achieved a 7.1% year-on-year rise in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size during the first half of 2024, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to June, Yulin produced about 298.53 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 2.4% YoY, 17.12 million tonnes of semi-coke, up by 4.3% YoY, 492,100 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 15.9% YoY, 307,700 tonnes of primary aluminum, down by 2.3% YoY, 313,800 tonnes of magnesium metal, up by 16.4% YoY, and 6,831.2 tonnes of polysilicon, down by 19.0% YoY.
During the first seven months, Yulin saw an 8% rise in the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size over the year ago period, 0.3 percentage points faster than the January-June period.
Production from January to July included 350.54 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 2.2% YoY, 20.28 million tonnes of semi-coke, up by 6.5% YoY, 573,200 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 14.3% YoY, 358,000 tonnes of primary aluminum, down by 1.1% YoY, 376,900 tonnes of magnesium metal, up by 24.0% YoY, and 8,200.9 tonnes of polysilicon, down by 11.6% YoY.
