Large V-Ti magnetite deposit unearthed in Hami

A large vanadium-titanium magnetite deposit with estimated iron ore resources of 358 million tonnes was recently discovered in Hami, Xinjiang, according to the local natural resources bureau.
The deposit was found at Weiya mining area and exploration results indicated good metallogenic conditions and great prospecting potential at the deeper and peripheral areas of the deposit. In addition to iron ore sources, the deposit also holds titanium mineral resource of 21 . 5 million tonnes and phosphorus mineral resource of 5 . 55 million tonnes, which reached the large scale and medium scale respectively.
