Jiangxi Copper Lead & Zinc Metal to increase zinc recycling capacity

Jiangxi Copper Lead & Zinc Metal Co., Ltd. has received initial approval from the Department of Ecology and Environment of Jiangxi Province to build a secondary zinc resources recycling project, which will add production capacity of 32,000tpa of zinc ingot.
The project will upgrade the company's existing zinc hydrometallurgy system, with increased processing capacity of 40,000tpa of zinc hypoxide recycled from zinc dust and low-grade zinc-containing scrap through reduction process in rotary kiln and rotary hearth furnace, as well as zinc slag and residues through blowing process in fuming furnace.
Upon completion, the project will add production capacity 32,000tpa of zinc ingot (subject to national standard GB/T470-2008) to the initial plan of 100,000tpa. The project also has planned annual production capacities of 100,000t of electrolytic lead, 6,800t of copper matte, 267,000t of sulfuric acid, 50,000t of refined sulfuric acid, 690t of crude cadmium, 7t of crude indium, 300t of silver ingot and 1t of gold ingot.
