Fugu's magnesium production up 38.67% YoY in Q1-Q3

China's Fugu county achieved a total production value from industrial enterprises above designated size of RMB89.12 billion (USD12.35 billion) in the first three quarters of 2024, down by 2.2% from the prior year period, with the added value of industrial enterprises above designated size up by 9.7%, according to the local statistics bureau.
From January to September, Fugu produced about 72.37 million tonnes of raw coal, up by 2.96% YoY, 9.91 million tonnes of washed coal, down by 3.03% YoY, 6.47 million tonnes of semi-coke, down by 3.9% YoY, 227,100 tonnes of calcium carbide, down by 20.68% YoY, 498,600 tonnes of ferroalloys, down by 1.6% YoY, and 392,300 tonnes of magnesium metal, rising by 38.67% YoY.
