    Magnesite: Driven by the further limitation of mining and trading, the prices of magnesite sharply increase.

    Fused magnesia: Driven by increased magnesite prices and strong expectation of electricity price increase, producers sharply lift their prices.

    Dead burned magnesia: Despite the increased magnesite prices, prices remain stable due to the weak downstream demand.

    Caustic calcined magnesia: Encouraged by reduced supply and increased prices of magnesite, producers raise the prices sharply.

    Magnesium aluminate spinel: Driven by increased alumina prices, most spinel producers increase their prices sharply.

    2.1 China launches third batch of third round of central environmental inspections

    China's central authorities started the third batch of the third round of environmental inspections on October 18, according to the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

    Eight teams have been dispatched to Jiangsu, Anhui, Sichuan, Guizhou, and four central government-owned enterprises, namely China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd.
