Weko New Materials begins trial production at 200ktpa aluminum alloy project

On November 16, the 200,000tpa high-end aluminum alloy processing project developed by Weko (Inner Mongolia) New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. moved into the commissioning phase.
With a total investment of RMB2 billion (USD276 million), the project will be able to produce 100,000tpa of aluminum alloy profiles and frame used for solar panel, 45,000tpa of lightweight structural shape for NEVs and 55,000tpa of deep-processed aluminum alloy products such as power battery case, anti-collision beam, carling, brake valve block, skylight rail and seat rail, etc. When fully operational, the project would achieve annual sales revenue of RMB8 billion (USD1.1 billion), along with tax revenue of RMB900 million (USD124 million), and it is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs.
