ATZ Mining and Felston are two companies engaged in mining, dressing and export of heavy mineral sands and concentrates. They own mining claims 5004C and 7407C in Mozambique.
5004C has measured resources of 312 million tonnes, with an average grade of 3.31% for ilmenite, 0 . 40% for zirconite, 0 . 03% for monazite and 0 . 31% for rutile, and it produced 356,000t of heavy mineral sands and concentrates in 2023.
7407C has measured resources of 413 million tonnes, with an average grade of 1.06% for ilmenite, 0 . 10% for zirconite, 0 . 01% for monazite and 0 . 11% for rutile, and it produced 263,000t of heavy mineral sands and concentrates in 2023.
5004C and 7407C, both are coastal sand deposits, commenced operation in 2012 and 2022 respectively, with a Life of Mine of more than 15 years. They mainly produce heavy mineral sands and concentrates, which are further processed into titanium concentrate, zirconite, monazite, rutile and other mineral products with higher value.
