China announces tariff changes for 2025

China will adjust the import tariff rates and items on certain goods starting from January 1, 2025, according to the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council.
Provisional import tariffs will be applied to 935 commodities in 2025 and the country will continue to impose export tariffs on 107 commodities including ferrochrome, with 68 commodities subject to provisional tariffs.
The import tariffs for certain goods, including recycled copper and aluminum raw materials, will be reduced to help increase the imports of quality products and expand domestic demand, according to the commission.
