China discovers over 20Mt of copper resources on Tibetan Plateau

More than 20 million tonnes of copper resources have been newly discovered on the Tibetan Plateau in southwestern China, according to China Geological Survey.
There are four 40-million-tonne copper resources deposits found to date on the Tibetan Plateau, namely Yulong, Duolong, Julong-Jiama, and Xiongcun-Zhunuo, with the total estimated copper resources exceeding 150 million tonnes. The plateau is poised to become a world-class copper resource hub.
