China releases revised FDI statistical system

China has released the revised statistical system of foreign direct investment (FDI), which is an amendment to the 2022 edition.
The revised version, effective from January 1st, 2025, added two indexes for the annual statement of major overseas mineral resources (Table FDIN7), "the name of the mining project" and "the remaining life-of-mine", with the addition of minerals needed to be submitted including rare earth, titanium ore, zirconium ore, tantalum ore, crystalline graphite, amorphous graphite, boron and fluorite. It also added the indexes of "types of mineral resources" and "remaining economically recoverable reserves" for mining companies and projects in the monthly statement of foreign investment and mergers & acquisitions (Table FDIY3).
