Major Chinese steel mills' daily steel product output edges up in late Dec

Major Chinese steel mills produced around 21.74 million tonnes of finished steel products during the last eleven-day period of December 2024, when the daily output was 1,976,000 tonnes, up slightly by 0.4% from mid-December, according to China Iron & Steel Association (CISA).
By the end of the period, major Chinese steel mills held finished steel products inventory of around 12.37 million tonnes, down by 2.27 million tonnes or 15.5% from mid-December.
