China tightens export controls of critical materials

China's Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs announced decision to impose export controls of items related to tungsten, tellurium, bismuth, molybdenum and indium, effective from February 4, 2025, in order to safeguard national security and interests and fulfill international obligations such as non-proliferation
A total of 25 metal products and their technologies are subject to the latest export control, including ammonium paratungstate, tungsten oxide, certain tungsten carbide, solid tungsten (excluding granule and powder), certain tungsten alloys, tellurium metal, tellurium compounds, certain bismuth metal and related items, bismuth germanate, molybdenum powder, indium phosphide, trimethylindium, triethylindium, etc.
. Exports will be permitted if they comply with the relevant regulations . The export control list of dual-use items has been updated simultaneously.
