China's first international standard for steel strip and sheet released

Recently, the ISO 8353:2024 standard for "Continuous Hot-Dip Zn-Al-Mg Alloy Coated Steel Sheets and Strips for Commercial, Stamping, and Structural Applications" developed by JISCO was officially approved and released by International Organization for Standardization, marking a significant breakthrough for China in the development of international standards for steel sheets and strips.
JISCO's Zn-Al-Mg alloy coated steel sheets and strips are widely used in industries such as photovoltaic mounting systems, outdoor cabinets, underground cable trays, evaporative condensers (towers), central air conditioning ventilation ducts, highway guardrails, and automotive parts. Cumulative sales have surpassed 1.9 million tonnes, and further processed products made from these materials have been exported to countries including Argentina, Malaysia, and the UAE.
