Prices of wire rod and rebar in major regions of China saw a downward trend during the month on weak demand and the price decrease in futures market. In addition, Chinese export prices of wire rod and rebar went down during the month because of the price decrease in domestic market.
In the international market, prices of wire rod and rebar in Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam dropped during the month on low demand, and those in India moved up mainly supported by high prices of steel mills.
