Inner Mongolia Huafu Stainless Steel breaks ground on cold rolling project

On March 15, Inner Mongolia Huafu Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. held the groundbreaking ceremony for its 200,000tpa stainless steel cold rolling project located at Naiman Banner Stainless Steel Deep Processing Industrial Park.
With a total investment of 360 million yuan (49.77 million US dollars), the project would cover a land area of 70Mu (4.67 hectares). The first phase, with an investment of 120 million yuan (16.59 million US dollars), will include the installation of two cold rolling units and six cold rolling annealing lines. When fully operational, the project would produce 200,000 tonnes per annum of cold-rolled stainless steel strip, with the annual output value estimated at 1 billion yuan (138 million US dollars), along with tax contribution of 20 million yuan (2.77 million US dollars), and it is expected to help create 50 jobs. The project is slated to build an initial production capacity of 100,000tpa of stainless steel cold-rolled strip by July this year.
