Hebei Jingye to build 800ktpa cold-rolled silicon steel project

On March 21, Hebei Jingye Electromagnetic New Material Technology Co., Ltd. signed a land transfer agreement with the government of Pingshan County, securing approximately 29.19 hectares of land for 16.64 million yuan (2.29 million US dollars) to develop a cold-rolled silicon steel project, according to the Ministry of Natural Resources.
The project, with a planned production capacity of 800,000 tonnes per annum of cold-rolled silicon steel, is scheduled to break ground on June 15, 2026 and finish construction on May 15, 2029.
